Living Roof – Futuristic & Inspiring

Friends, was watching a documentary on the new California Academy of Sciences building. Wow! What a concept. The huge building is as eco as it gets. The master stroke – the living roof conceptualized by architect Renzo Piano. Resting on a bulwark of hundred per cent recycled steel, the building’s sprawling roof is covered in several layers of insulation topped by vegetation that keeps it cool. A canopy comprising solar panels trails along. If your heart beats green, this is truly inspiring.
